Hello fellow dog owners and dog lovers! And welcome to Haven's Blog! Being the first and most comprehensive dog hotel ever to open its doors in Sri Lanka, it seemed only a natural transition for us to start educating people on all things dog related.

But first, a little bit about myself and my company. Haven, located in Malabe is the first of its kind in Sri Lanka. It is an honest to goodness dog hotel which features themed kennels, customised menu plans, exercise regiments, dog bathing, dog grooming and basic dog training facilities for puppies. And that's not all, by the end of this month, dog owners will be able to view their dog from any device that has an internet connection through our revolutionary camera service. So, you will even be able to check on your dog, 24 hours a day from your mobile phone.

But that aside, I have found that in this country particularly, there is much to be learned and many many myths that need to be dispelled when it comes to the subject of raising a dog. Having had dogs my entire life, through a process of trial and error, I have amassed some knowledge of these furry creatures that become such significant parts of our lives. As I grow older, perhaps I will have a wealth of such information, but for now I'd like to share what little I do know amongst the dog loving community.
